We started taking lessons from Julie when my daughter was 9 years old. We were so fortunate to have her as our daughter’s piano teacher for a year. We switched to Julie after 4 years of working with another teacher and almost immediately felt a huge progress in our daughter’s skills. Julie is a very patient and a fun teacher. Our daughter started actually loving and truly enjoying her music lessons thanks to Julie’s combination of challenging assignments, fun instructions and a constant encouragement. She helped our daughter to build a sound foundation where she felt very confident in knowing her notes, counts and what fingers to use. It’s sad but true, that we spent four years with our previous teacher and that foundations had not been built. Once this basis was established, it was so much easier for our daughter to learn more advanced pieces. We were amazed with her progress.

We were very sad to learn that Julie was relocating to another state as she was one of the best teacher our daughter had have across all the subjects studied. We truly thankful to Julie for instilling in our daughter a love of and appreciation for music. We wish her all the success at her new place.

Julie taught my daughter for the first two semesters of being a piano student. Under her loving and patient care, my daughter transformed from being a child whose mother required one semester of piano to “try” it to a little girl who is now begging that her lessons be continued so she can learn more. Julie has definitely been my favorite teacher of four that I have had. My love for classical music was enhanced by her knowledge and I was pleasantly surprised by her knowledge of other genres such as tango (which I also love) She has a wonderful teaching style-she offers tips on technique and sends ITunes videos of pieces in progress. Julie has so much patience-I never felt rushed. Lucky students who have access to her as a teacher.

Julie was my piano teacher for 11 years. I’m so grateful to have had such a wonderful piano teacher. She is a great teacher that will push you to do your best and achieve a lot, not only with the piano but in life too. She is very knowledgeable and has taught me so much about the technical aspects, as well as the many different composers of piano music and different genres. By the time I was in high school, all the knowledge I learned from Julie gave me the opportunity to learn even more at college level, from a professor at the University of Florida. I highly recommend Julie to be your piano teacher because of all the knowledge she has, she is very nice and fun, and when I took lessons with her, I looked forward each week going to piano lessons.

I feel incredibly blessed to have had Julie as my very first piano teacher: sitting down at the piano at six years old can be an intimidating experience for anyone, but Julie had a wonderful way of explaining music that just made sense.
